I'm running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, and I can't get Windows to recognize the ethernet controller. I have a D975XBX2 with the 2831 firmware, and I've installed the latest chipset drivers. Attempting to install the Intel PRO Network Connections Driver results in the installer telling me it is unable to find an Intel networking device. I do, however, get a yellow exclamation mark by "Ethernet controller" under the device manager.
Thanks for any help!

Re: Ethernet Problem
I would probably look onto Intel's website for a list of drivers(64 bit) for your motherboard...I have to install ethernet drivers for my motherboard each time i reinstall windows..So if i were you I would check for the most current drivers and try that..64 bit XP was a bit of a pain in my ass on drivers..so I think that might be the problem..in my experience anyway
