sweet, an intergrated back plate. that'll make hsf changes alot easier. Looks like the northbridge heatsink is kinda blocking air to the socket area though

ECC support for the three channels DDR3? I consider all non-ECC boards toys, and any memory without widespread ECC availability "doesn't work" or can't be proven to work reliably.

Don't spam the board with random related 'keywords', we don't need it.mickrussom wrote:ECC support for the three channels DDR3? I consider all non-ECC boards toys, and any memory without widespread ECC availability "doesn't work" or can't be proven to work reliably.

Wrong answer. First off, I don't consider what I asked keyword spam. Secondly, does this board/chipset support ECC?DMB2000uk wrote:Don't spam the board with random related 'keywords', we don't need it.

It never ceases to amaze me how a simple question can invoke accusations and hostility. If the comment is not meritorious, let it stand alone as a record of itself and let the computing pubic judge.
Is there some sort of conflict of interest here where Intel's products are somehow beyond reproach. EETimes has, amongst other respected periodicals, have heavily documented the need for ECC to be integrated and present wherever possible. Memory cannot provably work unless it is monitored.

Did you forget what you actually wrote the last time you posted in this thread??
You listed a whole paragraph of 'related keywords' that was intended to do nothing more than try and improve search engine rankings for this thread. That is by very definition SPAM and is what I was talking about.
Notice I had to edit your post to take that out.
So before you get all high and mighty about thinking you are better than the mods here, question what it was you could have done to provoke one of us into action.
I'm going to recommend that you re-read the forum rules so you know what is expected of you and make sure you note number 9 in particular.

Its not a democracy, and if you don't like it, sorry.

I am loving that board! It keeps the CPU away from the PSU! sweet! It should also fix mounting problems of after market coolers from getting to clsoe to ram

Re: Intel DX58SO 'Smackover' Motherboard Pictures
Am I seeing that right that it only has 3 internal SATA connectors and two ESATA connectors?
Re: Intel DX58SO 'Smackover' Motherboard Pictures
I count 6 internal.
You can see them best on picture 6 down the back (to us) side of the board.
