Budget LGA775 Board for OC

Post by hnzw_rui »

Got my hands on an OEM Celeron 450 and I just want to try overclocking the hell out of it. Alas, I don't have any available motherboards that I can use. Can you guys recommend a really inexpensive motherboard for this little project? Hoping for something in the $50 range? How much are used P35-DS3L's going for on eBay anyway? Is the P45 chipset any better than P35?

Thanks!

Edit:
I found the Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L open box on Newegg for $67.88. Is that a good choice?

I've been using a DFI Infinity P965-S for a while now and have enjoyed it. Found it for $ 43 here. It's supposed to be a good board for overclocking (I've barely tweaked it) and there is a lot of nice threads about the board/etc here
