Well...

...there's something to be said for 2333 as well. For me, that was the only BIOS where I was able to actually all four cores in my Q6600 show up in Vista x64. But then I had other problems.

With 2333:
* RAID on Intel SATA controler + Vista x64 installed, but then wouldn't consistently boot
* Floppy config page was blank

With 2507:
* Couldn't get RAID array on Intel SATA to boot so I had to boot of the Marvell controller instead
* Have to turn off "Core Multiplexing" to boot (otherwise a bluescreen during Vista x64 boot)
* So only two cores show up in Vista x64

With both BIOSes I have a problem where the video card (in my case a Gigabyte GV-RX195P256D-RH (ATI X1950) never come up and won't continue booting if monitors are attached to both DVI sockets. (If there's only one monitor attached, it comes up fine.) Yes that's strange and problematic.

I'm pretty disappointed that I'm having this much trouble with an Intel processor in an Intel mobo with a RTM operating system. Too many moving parts.
