My config
E6600 Retail
OCZ XLC PC 6400
975XBX2 Motherboard
ATI X1950XTX 512MB Power connected properly to my vidcard
750W Thermaltake Tough Power PSU works
2x Seagate 120GB PATA HDD Slave/Master set correctly
I have a problem with this setup. I have checked all connections. All my parts work. The only thing I swapped out of my system is mobo, ram, and cpu, from my old AMD system. So I know my PSU, HDD, Vidcard works. When I put everything together it just starts for a few seconds and then powers down. I know my board is powered because the standby led comes on and stays on. Can someone tell me what the red CPU LED does? When I press the pwr button my system starts and all fans spin and then it powers down. I notice though that the CPU RED LED come on for a few seconds. I have tried to reseat my CPU but nothing happens. Someone got an idea what is wrong? Does someone know what the RED CPU LED does? I have searched the web but there is not information.

Something like that happend to a friend of mine (very similar setup). After going through all of the connections and such I had him reseat the HSF. Ever since he did that there have not been any problems.
Note - I had him clean off the factory thermal pad and apply arctic silver.
Before doing that you might want to make sure all of the power plugs are plugged into the board.

I would never die for my beliefs because I might be wrong.

yay! I got it to post now. It comes up and I see the Bios. Yah, I clean my HSF off of the generic thermal paste and put Arctic Silver 5 on my HSF. My bios is messed up now. Can someone help me? When I go through the bios it sometimes randomly freezes and sometimes I see like a few second of like two small lines that look like bios corruption or artificating when the pc boots up. It goes away when it gets pass the black boot screens. Is there something wrong with my bios? When I try to go into the overclocking settings the bios just locks up and freeze and I can't adjust anything. Is my board faulty? I flash my board to the newest bios. It did fix accessing the bios after I flash it. The old bios, i think 2333 or something wouldn't let me access it, when I press F2 it just locks up when I try to look inside the bios settings. My videocard is good. Oh and if someone want to know how fix this problem I put my videocard on the middle 16x pcie slot. Weird but after I remove the card and put it on the middle slot, it works now. I haven't tried to put it back on the top pcie 16x slot yet. I want to fix my bios because I want to overclock.
