3 Issues with D975XBX2

Antec P150 with 430 watt PS
Intel D975XBX2 (2634 BIOS)
Intel 6600 Process
2 Gig OCZ Mem
NEC 90GX2 Monitor
ATI 1600X Pro Video
Creative X-FI Xtreme Music Audio
WD 250 Sata drive (using IDE)
WD 80 IDE
Plextor IDE DVD/CD
Sony Floppy

Issue 1:
I have the WD 250 Sata as my primary boot drive. I wanted to add the WD 80 as the Primary Ide and the Plextor as the slave. The sytem would not boot (drive order correct). I switched the Plextor to primary and WD 80 to secondary without problem.

Isssue 2:
I disabled the EIST in the Bios. When I run CPU-Z my processor multiplier and CPU speed changes from 6 times to 9 times and back every couple of seconds.

Issue 3:
I cannot the get the system to post with anything over 267. The only performance Bios change I have made was to the OCZ 800mhz memory (4-4-4-15 and 2.20 v) which works fine at stock processor speed.

All suggestions welcome.

Only 3 issues? Lucky fella!

Issue 1: BIOS seems to have serious detection issues on multiple fronts

Isssue 3: Enter Maintenance mode and disable 'watchdog' ?

Did any of things mentioned in this thread or mine help you out at all?

Besides running rmclock (and disabling C1E within it), nothing else seems to work (for me anyways). Unfortunately, doing this in rmclock isn't permanent and has to be re-done whenever you reboot.

I re-installed Bios 2507 today and am going to accept things the way they are. I have been satisfied with the board since my initial problem was resolved with a memory voltage boost. I was currently thinking of a 2.6 or 2.8 O/C at most. The system is serving its purpose at the the stock 2.4 setting and thats the way I am going to leave it. The issues that I mentioned are only minor problems for me.

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing.

None of the games I have been playing seem to be adversely affected by this at all, so I'm not sure it really matters.
