I have an issue with the Intel board DG33FB in a relatively new home build.
When the unit is powered up the system turns on as expected and within the normal time it is ready to use. To date it has proven to be a fairly solid build with no unusual behaviours. Except for this ...
During the power up process there is no single system beep nor are there any POST messages on the screen.
Another unit with an Intel board has a "Silent Boot" option in the BIOS which when enabled cuases the same screen behaviour. However this current board has no similar option in the BIOS and I have been through every menu trying to correct this behaviour. I like to see the full POST screen mesages!
I have downloaded the Intel BIOS directory from its web site however to date I have been unable to find a listing of the specific BIOS options on this board. It seems strange that I cannot control the POST messages.
Again the system does boot up so it is not a fatal issue with the board - I thought about restoring the default settings however that would only impact on the options that are in the menus and the silent boot option is not there!
Any clues to this behaviour? I have checked the newer BIOS notes and this error is not mentioned - I am reluctant to flash the BIOS if there is no evidence that it will overcome this matter.

Re: Intel DG33FB - No POST screen
Would you have to disable quick boot to see the POST messages?
On a lot of newer BIOS's you have to press esc or tab during POST to see the messages, I haven't seen an option to change that to default behaviour in the BIOS though.
