Bad Axe 2 Still hangs on Boot; No IDE drives
I know someone has talked about this before, but no mater what I do I get this. I have all SATA devices hooked to the Intel Controller.
Nothing is hocked to the IDE Controller.
I do have a couple of USB2 External Hard Drives.
My DVD Burner is SATA.
Some times it hangs with the BA or 94 code. Some time it will beep.
Some times I have a black screen for a little while until XP loads.

if you don't want that 94 code: enable automatic drive config
i've explained this to intel several times. they're too stupid to fix this.

Got the Auto Drive configuration on.
Still will hang on BA. Some times with a long beep.
Sometimes before it gets to Grub, I have XP and Linux.
Likes to sit at a black screen before XP boots (after Grub).

Ok. I can give that a try.
I did install a new floppy drive and new SATA burner.
Removed IDE burner.

also could be the sata-burner. at least i also get the 94 code here (when automatic drive config is disabled). never tried it without the sata burner.

Unplugging it works better than disabling it.
It boots a lot faster. With it disabled I got it to hang.
Looks like leave the floppy unplugged or maybe just leave the hard drive as the first boot device unless I need something else.
I will test some more.
Thanks
