D975XBX2 Problems. They came on all of sudden.

Hello,
I have a D975XBX2 system up and running fine with a Core2 Duo processor and 2GB or AM with Windows Vista. A couple of days ago I updated the bios to 2692 and slowly everything has went to hell in a hand basket.
First Windows Vista (32-bit) standard to slow down and hang. The computer boots very slow. I takes a good couple of seconds for the Intel title screen with F2 Message to appear. Then the RAID controller scan takes almost 2 minutes to do its thing (I am not using a raid) and it was just a second or two before. When I go in to the bios setup screen it redraws very slowly and I have even had the bios setup screen to freeze on me requiring a reboot.
I have just updated the bios to 2770 and still no go. Except now I can't seem to boot from my hard drive. I get a NTLDR is Missing Message.
Any ideas? I am thinking about down-dating to the bios before 2692 which I think is the last bios that worked for me.
Also, I just added a second ATI Radeon card to my system so I can connect 3 monitors. I am not using crossfire. I tried removing the second card and that did not help.
Is this MB junk or am I just missing something.
Robert
