Question on Raid Setup

Hello to all; Need some help please,

I’m not too familiar with raid setups

I have an Intel 975XBX2 and this is what I’d like to do:

I have four HD’s; I want to run “two separate” Raid 1 setups using 2 HD’s for each setup.

The first raid 1 setup will be for Windows Vista using two hard drives.

The second raid 1 setup will be for Windows XP using the other two hard drives.

I’ll be using the bios to set which system to boot to. The reason for setting this system up like this is to keep the OS’s “completely” separated. I’ve been doing this for years (minus raid) and have never had a problem. It’s also nice knowing I have a fully configured OS, should the other one have problems.

Now my question:

Can I use just the Intel Sata’s for both setups, or do I need to use Intel for the first raid setup, and Marvel for the second raid setup?

And no…I do not want nested raids. I want two completely separate raid 1 setups.
