New 975XBX2 BIOS. Version 2802. C1E Issue Fixed.

Post by Pez D Spencer »

In case anyone is interested there's a new 975XBX2 BIOS out. It's version 2802. Among other things it fixes the C1E setting in the BIOS having no effect as well as adding additonal processor support. The release notes didn't mention which processors will now be supported but if anyone has info I'd like to know. I gave a quick look and it doesn't look like anyone has posted this yet. If they have then forget I said anything.

Here's the link:

I've got my ram set at 1.92v so I'm not sure what the limit that IRQ Conflict is refering to is.

"I heard a rumor..." 8-[ =D>

Very easy for you to see on a digital multimeter the voltage which you mesure between the showed point and the ground.

I put different values in bios 2802 for my Crucial Ballistic Tracer PC2-6400, and after each re-boot (power down, green led off) i read on my multimeter these values;

2.28 in bios = 2.30 volts mesured.
2.36 in bios = 2.37 volts mesured.

So you can consider the rumor you "heard" as a rumor... and not the truth...

For mesurement, see this image below.
