Motherboard supporting dual socket 771?

Post by JustJared »

I'm researching building a new box and what I'd like to do is possible use an intel Quad core. I'm having trouble finding a mother board that has dual 771 sockets. Are they made? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Intel S5000XVN - http://www.legitreviews.com/article/527/1/

It costs a bunch though - $500 is the lowest price from 18 online retailers...

As you've found out it's tough to find Socket J (LGA 771) based motherboards!

Another choice is the Asus DSBF-D/SAS Motherboard - It's just $383 plus shipping, but can't do 1333MHz FSB and it doesn't support high end 16x PCI Express graphics cards for some reason.
