After making a change to the memory voltage (got brand new memory, needed more) the system failed to boot. The motherboard comes with a 'maintainance mode' for restoring the BIOS to it's defaults--when I change the jumper to maintainance mode, the fans come on at 100%, but there aren't any sounds or beeping.
Puzzlingly, if you flip it back over to normal mode, it beeps three times, then waits 30 seconds, and beeps three more times.
I've stripped the computer of unnecessary componants (extra ram, capture card, DVD, etc) and it does the same thing. I've swapped the memory several times and I can't figure it out.
I made a recovery CD and floppy, but, though it reads both, it never beeps indicating that the flash was successful.
I'm very very open to ideas now before I call up intel for warranty information
