Memory issule with D975XbX2

Hello all. I'm new to here but need help badly with a memory issule. I been searching the forums for awhile and can't figure out my problem. I even called intel and they had me send MB in and they send me a replacement and still does the same.
Ok I original had 4 512 mb memory sticks and worked great with a 3.0 ghz PD and then I wanted to upgrade my memory and process. I got a 2.6 ghz due core processor and 4 1 gig patriot memory 800mhz memory sticks all from tigerdirect.com ok I installed the processor and then installed all 4 gig of memory and the computer turns on but sticks and nothing on screen. I then take the sticks out and put the old 4 back in and nothing. So I put one of the old ones back in slot 1 and it boots. I can put that in any slot and it boots but not with 4. I then changed the setting under memory override to make it 667 mhz and change the volts to 1.8 and then I can get the new memory to run in slots 1 and 3 but still will not run an any other slots with it but will run single in any slots. If I cahnge any more settings and try to raise it to 800mhz on the overclock it will do the same thing and won't boot and I'll have to put the origianl 1 stick in to reset it. When I can get it to run with the 2 sticks, it runs very stable but very lost. Even intel can't help me.
Can anyone please help me on this issule. I use my computer for school work and I really need to start using it again. I really want the 4 gigs of memory to work.
