D975XBX2 OVERCLOCK PROBLEM! BIOS 2813

Post by lassek »

Hi all.
I am having some overclocking issues after updating bios to latest 2813.

I have a Q6600, BX2 and 4 x 1 GB DDR2 800 ..

I used to do whatever clock i wanted, really... but after the update i can
ONLY boot stock. I cant step a single mhz. OR boot 1:1 ..

The errortype i get is when i try to OC it will either boot black screen or say POST error on the screen press "Y" to enter bios.

(i havent tried disable watchdog yet. Will try tonight.)

Best regards

Lasse.

Yep, watchdog is most likely preventing your successful OC. Move your mobo jumper over to post, boot disable watchdog, shut down, move jumper and then try some OCing. Good luck.

Hi guys.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. Watchdog did the trick! I am so happy now, i just dont ever recall to disable it in ANY other bios version!?

But it works like at charm now! ..
