Intel D975XBX "Memory Command Rate" Option

Just saw that Intel added an option for "Memory Command Rate" to their latest BIOS for the DX38BT Board: http://downloadmirror.intel.com/15542/E ... eNotes.pdf

Shouldn't we contact Intel and ask them for such an option for the D975XBX2 too? AFAIK the command rate is set to "2T" by default on it. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to run it at "1T" (at least when just using two sticks of RAM)?

 you really don't expect Intel to do that do ya? I mean I still have to reboot my comp if I forget to quickly F2 then save/exit just to make sure my PS/2 KB will function. Thank God for stand by.

why not? they also added an option to disable the serial port for me!

i've already wrote them yesterday about the command rate option. let's see ...

just wanted to post this here to get some more people writing this to the intel support.

ps: i've "fixed" my ps/2 mouse problem with connecting it finally to usb. my ps/2 keyboard always worked properly. so for now i got all stuff working fine here. no need to reboot the machine that often anymore ...

Really? :)

Well then. They are listening to the customers still uh? Well more power to ya! BTW I just noticed our post counts are trading blows hehe. You must be as busy as I am. Every time there is a contest to win something I enter and never have enough posts.

Blah! I find as I get older I have less time for my HW.

As for the command rate setting I never had a mb that had that setting and I doubt it's usefulness. If you set a command rate of 1T then your other settings have to be lowered do they not?

no, i don't think so. that's an independent setting AFAIK.
