I'm not sure where this topic should fall in. I have a recent build based on an Abit IP35 Pro motherboard with a single Evga GeForce 8800GTS video card. And now I want to add another 8800GTS video card, but I'm not sure if my motherboard will support it. The motherboard does have 2 pci-express slots, but according to the User Manual, the second pci-express is a slave. Since the motherboard came without an SLI bridge card, I'm not really sure if it will support 2 video graphic cards. I have contacted Abit customer support, and they told me that my motherboard will not support SLI. Does anyone on have this motherboard and successfully configure it to run in SLI mode ? Thanks.

IP35 chipsets don't support SLI. They only support Crossfire. To use SLI, you need a NVIDIA chipset or Skulltrail, which supports both SLI and Crossfire.

The P35 chipset doesn't officialy support SLI, it's only licensed for Crossfire. You need an nForce based motherboard if you want to SLi those cards.
