It is based on Intel's soon to be released P45 Express chipset and introduces a new cooling heatpipe setup which not only cools the Northbridge but also the eight phase digital PWM.

It has two PCI Express x16 slots which both electronically work at x8. You get a total of eight SATA-II ports powered by a mix of the Intel ICH10R Southbridge and Jmicron JMB363 chipset.

The Intel P45 Express chipset is the next mainstream chipset and is aimed at replacing the P35 series. The Intel X58 will replace the Intel X48 on the enthuisiast side.

I'm excited to see what the P45 will be bringing to the table.

man, DFI board is always something to be hunger for. I owned the NF4 board and do not like it that much but their board is always so tempting and full with features.

I'm gonna have to try a Lan Party board one of these days, I've been on Asus so long the bios would probably look like a foreign landscape.

DFI boards are amazing. I have the LanParty X38 LT and I am so glad I chose it over an Asus. Sweet board that's aimed at overclockers, but it's awesome even if you're not that hardcore about overclocks.

The thing is I just absolutely hate their orange/black color scheme, the green/yellow looks much better IMO (which is one of the reasons I got the LT instead of the DK).

I just wish they would choose differnt colors for the MB and P{CI slots. I mean come on daglo Pink that is one of the colors I would not be caught dead with even if it remotely looks pink. LMAO!
But I will be courious to see how it runs compaired to other MB's. Namely ASUS and Intel.

I think it's probably just a bad picture and that the PCI slots are really closer to dayglo orange than any kind of pink.

Normally if you take your time and configure all the bios options correctly on the DFI's, they can meet of beat the best boards out there...................

There is no pink on this board, it's orange/yellow with black PCB. The LT models are green/yellow which is what my board looks like and is much better looking IMO. I would recommend DFI over Asus any day!

sweet looking board indeed.. DFI really know how to design their boards but I've played with DFI UT P35-T2R and LT X38-T2R and max FSB a bit lower than on Asus P35 but from what I've seen P45 wolfdale FSB headroom is way better than P35/X38/X48 :)

Haven't tried a P45 yet, but DFI LP UT X48-T3RS is keeping me busy
