Intel Desktop Board D845GVFN error.....darn not again

hey guys i got this error

cmos/gpnv checksum bad
multiple bios post attempts have failed
memory timings have been reset to automatic settings

any one know whats causing this problem and how can i fix this error

Try replacing your CMOS battery.

Is the power off at the socket before these errors occur?
