EVGA 780i w/ Audigy SE PROBLEM!

I recently purchased the EVGA 780i motherboard. I have windows xp installed and everything is working great, except for the Sound Card.
It is a Creative Labs Audigy SE, and my computer freezes when I try to install the drivers..
Any suggestions?

Is the integrated graphics disabled? If they're not, the drivers might be crashing. Also, did you uninstall the old drivers?

The Integrated audio is disabled.
Also, there are no older drivers to uninstall, this sound card is a new addition to the motherboard.

Tried using the latest drivers from the creative site?

I have tried the latest drivers from the site but no go.
Two family friends who happen to be computer pros are coming to my house on Wednesday to help. we'll see what happens then!

Did you try a different slot? Did you try the card in a different computer if possible?

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually found out that the PCI slot was bad on the motherboard. Board was exchanged for a new one that seems to be working (knock on wood).
I appreciate everyone's help!
