Am i correct in saying that the DG965SS has a PCI-E 1.0 slot?

I want to upgrade my current Geforce 7600GS GPU to a 9800GT on my DG965SS and i am not sure if it will be compatible as the 9800GT requires a PCI-E 2.0 slot.
Will it work? or will i have to upgrade my mobo? (I don't want to upgrade it)

Any PCI Express 2.0 card will work in a PCI Express 1.0 or 1.1 slot with no problems at all, you just won't get the performance boost. It's not much of a boost, so don't lose any sleep over it.

Thanx, im just wondering if it is worthwhile to buy this GPU or if i should buy a GPU that is pci-e 1.0?

It won't matter. just buy the card and be happy :) the difference between 1.0 and PCI-E 2.0 is really not that noticeable at all if it is. I've gone through 3 motherboard in 2-3 years. if im on a pci-e 2.0 board now, ill be surprised since i haven't noticed a difference honestly.

Yeah, I have a PCI-E 2.0 graphics card in the same Asus board that InspectahACE has and it only has PCI-E 1.0 but my gaming visuals and other video work superbly. Once I move to a PCI-E 2.0 board I doubt I'll notice any difference.
