Intel DG45ID and DG45FC Motherboard BIOS Update 0085

Just noticed a new BIOS came out with this board... My board originally had version 0071, so be sure to check yours if you got one early. No hardware acceleration fixes for Blu-Ray playback yet, so it seems to be still broken.

0085 did fix HW playback on the DG45FC, I'm pretty sure. Its playing Iron man averaging 17-21% on an E8400. I did have to force the bios update with the jumper though, the windows installer kept stalling on the mamagment SW flash. I also had to update to PDVD8, the picture was all jumbled with version 7 after the bios update.

The Intel DG45FC motherboard does not support core multiplexing.

I thought maybe processor change will fix that - no luck:

P.S.OK! I fixed that. The only BIOS which claims to have "fixed" the core multiplexing support disappearance is v0079. Turns out it is one and only which fixes this. No later BIOS show any signs of core multiplexing support once disabled. I have not tried to disable it in later BIOS, but it certainly disappears permanently if it is first disabled in BIOS prior to v0079 and then updated to version later than v0079. The only way to fix it was to install v0079.
I'd like to note that v0079 does not install normally through jumper removal nor express way nor through Intel integrator assistant. The only way which worked for me was to format a small 20Gb partition FAT32, put there the bios and flash.exe, start from win'98 boot DVD, exit setup to DOS, start flash.exe and update. The update freezes at 75%, then after few minutes it reports success. And it is success. Now I can finally observe two cores in the task manager.
After all the pain and sorrow the Intel brought to me.
