I am flashing the bios on an Aopen AX63 Pro. motherboard.
When I use the windows startup disk to get me into DOS, is it better to use a startup disk that doesn't load the memory.
Or do I need to load the memory?
Or does it matter eather way?
James
In the manual it sais not to load the memory or the IDE drivers to save more memory for the BIOS upgrade.
The BIOS needs about 520K of memory.
I have 384MB of memory installed on this mobo, so I am in good shape.
Go to the DR Dos homepage and download his BIOS flash disk. It will load only what you need and is probably the best and easiest program for setting up a DOS boot disk I have seen
