I'm trying to find some help for a friend he's got a p4c800-e and 2.8 prescott and whenever he uses sata drives and the 4.4 or 4.5 cats and anyone of the last 3 driver revisions from intel, xp pro bsods instantly. the drives are not running in raid. hes using kingston value ram and have swapped out the board, drives, video card, and tested the ram with memtest86+ which it passed. anyone have some ideas?

is he using the Intel S-ATA drives or the add-in chip S-ATA connectors?

Regardless on which he is using he needs both the Intel Chipset Software utility and the Intel Application Accelerators.

Then, he needs the S-ATA drivers for the other controller if hes using that one.
