New Build Finally :D

well I was going to get a Q8400 to refresh my current system (to replace the PentiumD 3GHz @stock) but I saw the deal at newegg for a 2x4GB kit of 2133MHz CL9 Ripjaws for $85  so i'm going to wait for another paycheck and maybe get a motherboard next. so i'm not sure what to get in that department short of finding another deal i CAN'T pass up

going for P67/Z68, probably Gigabyte, going to pair with either an i5 2500k or i7 2600k (OBVIOUSLY i need an unlocked CPU, because i am an overclocking addict)
so for boards going down by best/most rating(s):
BIOSTAR TZ68A+RCH LGA 1155 for $138 shipped
ASUS P8P67 (REV 3.1) LGA 1155 for $159 shipped
GIGABYTE GA-Z68M-D2H LGA 1155 for $103 shipped

obviously price is a major win for the Gigabyte board but it does not support USB3 which really surprises me, and also uses a 4-pin power connector.

So i'm really liking the look of the Biostar TZ68 because it also has legacy PCI slots (for a wireless card I have to use, as well as the tv tuner should i decide to use that again)

any thoughts on better values on the 1155 camp?

I like Asus motherboards. I would buy this one. Asus P8P67 Deluxe It doesn't cost much more than the p8p67. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131701 Edit: Put the 2600k in it.

that is a decent bit pricey-er than the boards I picked out, however I do plan on making this a seriously badass system so i guess the $220 price range is more reasonable in comparison to the rest of the parts I plan to get (think I'm going to opt for a power supply before the motherboard because my tx-750 really needs to be put out of its misery :axe: )

now i'm going to see what I can get from Gigabyte in the 220 range, because I do love the brand, but if the ASUS has the same or better features then I will certainly opt for that to try out ASUS

well it seems to have very similar specs to the UD3H and D2H, and between those two the only real differences are USB3 support on the UD3H, and the UD3H looks significantly more badass, visually. and ZOMG SLI + Xfirex (*cringes* considering GTX460 SLI)

I would go with a Evga 570. The main reason is that it has means to exit hot air out of the case. You can't go wrong with a Corsair HX-750 PS.

Plenty of good Gigabyte boards out there with USB3.0

probably going with an EVGA 560 TI (also think it is very stupid that nvidia has a 560 with less cores than the 560 TI)
and i just may go with the hx750 because I do love corsair
