nVidia nForce5 for Intel?

Post by daschneider »

A while back nVidia announced the nForce5 / MCP55 line of chip sets for AMD AM2 processors. Has anyone heard anything about an Intel version of this chip set to support SLI with Intel processors? It would seem logical for nVidia to release a new chip set like this in time for the Conroe processors, which will require new motherboards.

A few mobo companies have already announced new models and even Nvidia has their own mobo I think.

The one I'm getting the very same microsecond someone finally stocks it is the Asus P5N32-SLi SE (special edition, NOT the same as the DLX deluxe version) which is Core 2 Duo ready and Nvidia nforce 590SLI chipset onboard.
