I was more concerned about front side bus speeds, as the cpu is 800, i presume the memory and board will be able to go to the lower 800 yes ? i might have myself confused somewhere lol,

I'll take the hint with the PSU * now browsing shopping sites* lol

you could get this psu

500W Silverstone SST-ST50EF dual +12V, dual PCI-E, ATX12V 2.2, Efficiency>80%

What's your budget for the PSU? Also your in the UK right???

The board does switch automatically to a lower fsb.....the ddr667 is for the EE chip as it's has a 1066MHz FSB. BUT your ram is guaranteed for 667MHz so if you overclock the ram shouldn't be much of a problem, and if you don't overclcok you can run low latencies ;)

One of my other concerns was the passive chipset cooling pipes on the motherboard, does anybody know if there are any pci express cards that wont fit in this board ? due to the piping etc ? what about when there are 2xgraphics cards in there ?

Get a Pentium D 805. Cheaper, dual core, UBER overclocker.

Check out http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/05/10/ ... ghz_cores/ for some info.

Bleh, didn't see that you already had the cpu.

Anyways, think about that chip as an upgrade! :-p

On the power supply note, I've had good experience w/ Thermaltake. I've used a couple of their CPU hs/fan's and one of their power supplies. They make some quality stuff.
