Intel D975XBX 'Bad Axe' Motherboard not booting

AA D27094-304
Intel Core 2 duo E6400
2GB Buffalo Firestix DDR-2 800 CL5 FSX800D2C-K2G
BFG nVidia GT7900 OC PCI Express
2xSeagate 160GB SATA 2 7200 RPM
Sony DVD R/W + CD R/W drive
SIIG JU-91RB12 9-in-1 USB 2.0 Card Reader + FDD
ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler
Antec SmartPower 2.0 500w

I installed and connected everything in a COOLER MASTER Centurion 5 case. Booted up and F2'd to the Bios config. Made a few changes, including setting the memory speed to 800. Choices were 533/667/800. Rebooted and got nothing. The system runs, but I get no display and the keyboard is dead. After disconnecting things and trying to get the Bios screen back I ended up removing the jumper and flashing the bios with the Bios recovery (BX1441P.BIO from Intel's support site). When I power up the system the keyboard lights flash once and the fans spin up to speed. I hear the DVD & floppy cycle. But no picture & the keyboard seems dead (pressing num lock will not turn on the light).

I know some people run PC2 6400 memory on these boards, but the documentation on my board says 4200 & 5300 only. I have found this on many memory sites as well. Could it be my memory? Or what else could be wrong? Initially the BIOS screen dispalyed and my keyboard worked.

Many Thanks for any insight into my problem!

Yes. It did not help.

Contacted Intel support and was told I can only run DDR2 533 or 667.

I have seen others run 800 memory on these boards though...

Intel said that because the board only officially supports up to 667MHz memory modules. Have you tried running the modules at 667MHz? You might want to max out the memory voltage at 2.2V also... I run a Bad Axe board in my personal system with Corsair PC2-6400 and run it at 2.2V nonstop.
