Intel D975Xbx2 No Display

i just built my computer and it boots up fine everything seems running however i dont get any display. here are my specs
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Video Card: ATI Radeon x1300
HD: 80GB Sata
Ram: 1gb PC 3200
Mobo: Intel Desktop Board D975XBX2
PSU: 600w
i have used another video card and still no display i also switched the PSU and still no display. any ideas on what it might be? i have the retail box set btw

When it boots up do you see the post screen?

By that I take it that you mean you hear everthing powering up, but never see video.
Ram: 1gb PC 3200
Ummmm... PC3200? I'm assuming that's a mistake...

I'd say it's likely your RAM. Depending on what memory you got it may not post correctly. I ran into this problem with an ASUS board a couple of days ago and had to buy a cheap stick of slow DDR2 memory so that I could up the volts where the other memory that I have will work correctly.

i think i made a mistake on the ram all i know is that it is DDR2

The E6600 requires a minium of 4200 DDR2 memory that could be your problem.

6400 will work very well that is what I plan on purchasing for my D975XBX2

nice and it wasnt the ram i have the correct type of ram gah i have nothing else anyone have any ideas?
