New Build - Asus P5B Deluxe Questions

I have a new Asus P5B Deluxe and will be overclocking it once I get my system built. My question's are - would it be worth it to pull the NB and SB coolers off, clean off whatever thermal goo Asus uses, then re-install using Arctic Silver 5?

Looking at my mobo, it looks like the coolers are held on by plastic bayonet-type clips - do you release them by squeezing the tip with pliers? If so, are the clips re-usable?

I no longer have my P5B, but if i remember right that board uses plastic standoffs on to hold the heatpipe down. Some you can pinch together with your fingers and push through and others you have to use a pair of needle nose pliers to do it as they are so tough.

If I overclock a board I always pull the chipset coolers and apply my own thermal compound as usually they either put too little or too much on from the factory. If I'm not going to overclock the board I just leave it be.

Cheers and great question!
