975XBX2 Marvell Raid Causes BSOD when awake from sleep

Post by bmw540 »

Hi,

Has anyone run into this problem? I have a 975XBX2 MB with Core 2 Quad and 6 SATA Drives. 2 of them are hooked up to the Intel ICH7 SATA ports and used to boot Vista Ultimate (C:) and Windows XP SP2 (D:). The CDROM is set as E:. They are clean installs from scratch. The other 4 SATA drives are connected to the Marvel headers and setup as 1 big disk (RAID 0) on F:. I have downloaded and installed all the latest BIOS (2507) and drivers off of the Intel website. Everything seems fine until the machines goes to sleep. Upon awake from sleep, the system would BSOD on BAD_POOL_HEADER ErrorCode x00000019. This is very repeatable and consistent.

I have tried the following:

1. Manually Disable the Marvel RAID from Device Manager and put the machine to sleep. Upon awake, Vista automatically reinstall the Marvell RAID driver and console!?!?! and the big F: drive would return automagically. I put the machine to sleep again, upon awake, BSOD.

2. Manually Disable the Marvel RAID from BIOS. This fixes the BSOD problem from awake from sleep. However, this also doesn't allow me to use the 4 SATA drives.

Any suggestions?

BTW, very similar problems under Windows XP as well, except it hangs the system without a BSOD. The system would just completely freeze on Sleep or at Awake.

Any one running into similar problems?

System Configuration:
Intel Core 2 Quad - 2.66 GHZ
Intel 975XBX2 MB
ATI 1900 Video Card
2 GB 800MHz Memory
