680i and Vista Ultimate RTM

Post by hexeis »

Has anyone constructed this kind of beast? I just got a free copy of Vista Ultimate and am considering the migration. Whats the word?

shouldn't be too much trouble. nvidia has release a new chipset driver for vista, so use that. the driver is not yet fully optimized but you can run without any issue.

If you have an nVidia graphics card I wouldn't switch to Vista right now if I were you because they have horrible driver support for Vista right now.

I actually have an ATI X1950PRO 256MB PCI-e. Not sure if I should keep my 975XBX2 or go EVGA-680i

and then, of those combinations which is better under Vista Ultimate.

Go for a P5N32-E SLI (asus 680i mobo), as long as your RAM is compatible, it will serve you very well, and is worth the money.
