Nvidia 650i MoBo's

Post by Bio-Hazard »

Just wanted to ask if there are any plans to review some of the new MoBo's out there that are using the new 650i chipset. From the few that I've read about they seem to be great OC'ers and have a great price to performance ratio...........

Bio --

We have currently reviewed two of them...

The ECS NF650iSLIT-A Motherboard - REVIEWED HERE

and the Asus P5N-E SLI Motherboard REVIEWED HERE

We noted a big difference between the two boards when it came to overclocking!

I knew about the Asus review already, made a comment about it when you released it. And I've just now finished reading the ECS review, not to bad of a board, but not something I would like to have ...............

MSI has a 650i board out and that's one I'm sort of interested in as well, and there aren't any reviews out on it at all.

This is the MSI 650i board I was talking about.

MSI P6N SLI-FI LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

Right now it's about the cheapest 650i board I've found.

Bio-Hazard,

I just purchased an "Open Box" ASUS P5N-e mobo from newegg for $94 shipped..

It didn't come with an I/O panel, so I've been trying to track one down.. I placed an order for one on ASUS's site on 3/7 & its just sitting there. I finally reach somebody today that could find out what is going on & it turns out that they are entirely out of them.

I'll see if I can write up my own little review to post here when I get everything up & running :D .. I know it will pale in comparison to Apoptosis's, but eh, i'll give her a go :)

By the way, there is a site that has instructions for the pencil vmods to the board to alliviate any of those issues. I just can't remember what site it was :S .... I'll post back when I have a little more time as I did a bit of research before I purchased this board.
