D975XBX2 Slow First Boot

Ihave seen bits and pieces about this but I wonder if some one could help. My system takes 2m 07s to start to the Vista start load screen. From the time I hit the start button till I see the Intel Boot screen is 12 secs. It then sits on the Intel screen with an EB code in the lower right side for 1m 12 secs till the screen goes dark. Next it takes 33 secs for the codes to appear in the lower right side of the dark screen and then 10 secs to I get the green bar Vista load screen.
If I restart this process from an already booted system it only takes about 30 secs for all the above step, which seems normal.
I have the Marvel controller disabled, also the serial and parellel ports. All other settings are in the normal default modes.
System is as follows:
MB: Intel D975XBX2
CPU: QX6700
Bios:2663
Mem: Corsair XMS DDR2 800 2X1 GB
Video: BFG 8800 GTX
Storage: Seagate 500mb SATA HD, LG DVD Burner
