d975xbx2 very slow storage mgr option ROM load on boot?

Hi...my firt post. Glad to be here.
I have raid 0 working for my operating system and programs on this board.
On each boot the system hangs for about 1min on the section titled 'Intel matrix storage manager option rom' with the message 'Press ctrl I to enter config utility'. Following that it automatically goes to the welcome Window welcome screen. Is this kind of delay normal or is there something I can do?
