Disabling Watchdog

It seems that Watchdog must be disabled to O/C. What potential problems could arise by having Watchdog disabled? Also is there any chance that Intel will provide a normal Bios change option for disabling Watchdog rather than having to move the jumper?

I overclocked my system by 25% without disabling watchdog.

I also overclocked my 1.8 to 2.4 ghz without disabling the watchdog. But every once in a while, at cold boot it shows an error about not being able to boot with the current settings. Continuing with the current settings without entering the bios worked without problems.
Therefore, a few days ago I have disabled the watchdog. No problems since, but it's to early to really tell.

Only problem I'm aware of with regards to disabling watchdog is that if your OC settings fail you will have to move BIOS jumper to POST, change settings and try again. Not too hard to do, just a pain in the butt.

Ok, today my system hung at cold boot with a black screen. Well, a simple reset fixed it.
