A new BIOS for NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI motherboards has come out... P27 is out!

I noticed this on the eVGA forums and users on their who own a quadcore CPU did notice a jump in their overclock.
680i p27 bios???

is this bios release just for evga 680i boards or is it for all 680i boards?
I am using a BFG 680i board with p23 bios anfd was thinking of upgrading to the p26 bios on the BFG website, or should i install the p27?

When you purchase a new motherboard and Your'e going to update the bios, do you have to go through all the versions or with the latest release does that have all the previous updates included plus the new stuff?
Secondly, what's the problem with updating a downloaded bios inside windows. Some people have said it is no good, that's the way I have done it before (about 6 times) and I haven't discovered a problem that I know of. Can someone explain the complications if any?

The latest bios will have all the previous updates.
Most people suggest you don't update when inside windows because
sometimes it fails to update and you're stuck with a dead board (you'd have to "blind flash" the bios to get it working again.)
You're always best to update the bios via a floppy, usb stick or CD.
I've updated the bios on my Dell Laptop and a ton of other motherboards via windows with no problems, but I'd still recommend doing it via a bootable floppy.

how do u update bios on my BFG 680i board via usb? as i am running vista 64 bit and dont have a floppy drive?
I want to update to the latest bios (p26 for my BFG 680i board i think)

I don't know if you can use USB with that board
I think that board can only do it via floppy or via windows software.

I have sent an email to BFG tech support and they told me to update it via usb but they wont give me instructions on how to do it though??

any 1 using it any comments?
