I bet this is the support for the QX6800 and maybe even the 1333MHz FSB processors that are due out shortly. If your Intel D975XBX Bad Axe 2 motherboard isn't acting up I wouldn't upgrade it!

In case anyone from IBM ever looks here, I would like to take this opportunity to vent.

How come you can't fix the "damn" PS2 issue!! It has been reported for quit a while. You made the decsion to keep the PS2 connectors, how about making them work the way hundreds of other motherboard have worked. You finally decide to enter the highend MB business with a pretty good product, and then take some of the shine off the product with a basic problem.

Please find a fix.

Just flashed mine, going to run some benchmarks and see if I can't determine if this version is any better than previous.

**Edit**

Ran 3DMark05 & PCMark05 and can't see a performance improvement.

Anyone try performing a BIOS update on a Vista 32/64 machine? I'm still using version 2634 but haven't really been able to find a solution that's easy to follow. Guess I could always reinstall a 1.44 floppy. What a lousy way to perform an update. :(

I've used the 'Express BIOS Update' numerous times on all my Intel rigs and had success. Doesn't require a floppy.

I have Vista x64, and I am not able to run the BIOS install program from within Windows. It errors out with a message saying this program is not compatible with x64 version of Windows.

I just got an email back from Intel saying they are working on a Vista x64 version of their BIOS Update program.

Well, I tried booting up my computer and started getting a wide selection of BODs. Cache, IRQ, Memory, etc. I just don't know what is going on now with my XBX2. I'm tempted to pull my spare drive and reload XP on it until I can figure out what's going on. I'm thinking about reloading Vista X32 instead of X64, but I don't know if I'm going to have to remove the extra 2GB of RAM. :-k
