P-M Vs. P4
what speed would a P-M 2.13ghZ Processor be eqiivalent to a P4 processor?

if you look at the super pi an P-4 3.6 is 1 sec slower than a P-M 2.13, in several of the other tests i would estimate that its roughly equivilent to a 3.4 P4

Granted they probably didn't use the fastest memory or the best timings on the P4 system but it's probably pretty close ( I don't have any experience with DDR2)
But you can see how well the Pentium M 770 is doing even with DDR333 single-channel (855)

Well sorta, They used 3-3-3 timings @ DDR400 on the Athlon64 platform, which probably didn't help it too muchaudiophile wrote:holy crap! that spanks the fx-55 because it costs a few hundred less and outperforms it when overclocked. that's pretty awesome.

Well a shorter pipeline at least. Pipeline stalls, branch mis-predictions, pipeline flushes, and cache misses are less costly on a shorter instruction pipeline. I'm no expert on the matter, but you can read up on pipelining it at http://www.arstechnica.comaudiophile wrote:i thought it had to do with amd running less pipes than intel cpus...
Guys I was just reading at Anand techs forum I can't post there I am banned. They have a Thread in the cpu section Called Intel panics announces Merom. There is this woman there Called Intelia doing a very good job of waving the PM flag . But there ganging up on her pretty good . Needs some support from PM supporters. Get over there and help here out.

I have just ordered a new custom case from mountain mods. pretty cool made the way I want it. A yonah cpu is going to perform well in this case .
Water cooled system with chiller from Raid computers.
Dual Raptors.
I am hoping that DDR2 2 2 2 5 will be here with the release of yonah.
Sata optical drives
But what I really want is Conroe in this case but I well play with yonah till Conroe . Than I well use Yonah as a media center for my wife.
