During a keynote yesterday they guys at Intel ran Cinebench R10 on a Nehalem processor that was running 3.2GHz and they let everyone see the final score! The test system was using a 32-bit operating system, so keep that in mind!!

The 3.2GHz processor was able to complete the benchmark in just 19 seconds, which is very quick. Compare this number to our benchmark chart from our most recent desktop CPU article.

Thanks to threading this quad-core processor flies through the benchmark and past all other desktop processors on the market today by a good margin!

Let me get this right. Are you saying that the new i7 is faster than a skulltrail system? Faster than 2X intel QX775. On 32 bit xp! Ok, I need to know the system that would be best for my next rig. Please post your Maximum PC rig please. I can tell you now, you have me =P~ Sorry to use the words maximum pc. It would be great if you could list your dream computer. I'm talking all parts starting from the case to the operating system. Maybe post one every year or two. I think most of us would listen and take your advice. I can't wait to here what you have to say!

I bet im not the only one thinking how far could that little chip go under dice. If it overclocks anywhere near as well as the 45nm core 2's, 19 seconds is the least of my worrys :)
