Wondering if my Idle and Prime95 tests are OK?? Q9550

Post by Lm2nlce »

Q9550 @ stock speeds
Asus P5N72-T Premium
Cooling - Stock intel cpu fan
Room Temp - 70 Degrees

-Real Temp says my Highest temps at Idle are at 44 40 44 39.
-Prime95: Torture test Ran 6 minutes - Small FFTs. Highest Temp on Full Load was 65 on two cores the others ran at around 58 59.
-Prime95: Torture test Ran 6 Minutes - Large FFTs. Highest Temp on Full Load was 66. Core Temps: 66 59 65 62.
I dont know much about where this processor temperatures should be at with the stock cpu fan , but let me know what you guys think? Keep in mind i have an Ultra Full Tower(not a load of room) and a Gefore GTX 280 1GB, 4Gb Ocz Platinum 444-15 2.1v RAM, one 120mm rear exhaust fan and one bottom, front 120mm intake fan(all running at the highest fan settings in the bios). Room temperatures 70. Im just trying to find out if the processor ok and not running to hot for being defective or something. I know i should cool it more but im just trying to find out if everything is running how it should? or is it running to hot or something? What you guys think? You can also not that i ran the sensor test with Real Temp and everything looked fine.

I'm not sure what the average temperatures for those things particular chips, but it's all within spec and seems to be in the ballpark of what you would expect those processors to be at.

Do you have speedstep enabled or disabled?
