Post by Patrick97 »

Hi,
Would Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz Socket processor
be a multiple core CPU or dual processor cpu?
And would Windows Xp pro support this?

CPU = Central Processing Unit = Processor

It's a single processor made of two cores, so it's a dual core processor.

Yes it is supported by Windows XP.

It's a dual-core processor that was designed to kick AMD ass and that's exaclty what it did ;) THe E6600 is based on the Conroe core and is a good solid CPU! I used to run an E6700 till i upgraded to a quad-core CPU.

It has two CPUs in one. So it looks like one, but it's two.

And yes, XP Pro supports it fine.
