C2D E6400 clocks

C2D E6400 clocks

From what i can gather from the picture this core should be running at 2.13Ghz. It isnt my core but my mate wants to know why it isnt running at 2.13Ghz.

Speedstep my firend.

Or more specifically a combination of Enhanced Intel Speed Step and C1E throttling.

When the processor is doing little or no work, the multiplier is throttled back and the voltage lowered to reduce power consumption. When the processor has something to do it can ramp back up the clock speed as needed.
