Q6700 going from 10X to 6X in cpuz

Ok I am attaching photos - by the time I had the 6X saved I went right back and captured the 10X

What would cause this to happen? I have the power settings to HIGH and the CPU on min and max is 100%.

Is there an internal setting on Intel MB's that I have to change? This MB is the DG33TL, but I could find no settings to change this behavior.

Is it a problem with CPU-Z 1.43?

With FAH running it seems to stay at 10X consistantly - at least I havent seen it drop yet, thats why I am thinking it is a setting somewhere I need to change.

this is just the power savings option called "enhanced halt state. when hte procesor is not working hard, it lowers the multi to save power

Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology is enabled in your BIOS by default. For Intel desktop boards the Intel SpeedStep technology option is under the, “Power,” tab and labeled, “EIST.” Ensure it is set to, “Enabled.” for it to be turned on or set it to "Disabled" to shut it off.

speed step, c1e, what ever its all stupid to me cause my machines always folding anyway

Does it effect any of the benchmark tests or is it good enough where I can leave it enabled and it will keep it at high speed for the tests?

I fold 24/7 also, but when running benchmarks I shut fah down.

nope... leave CPU-Z open and open a couple programs... you'll see it jump up multipliers in a split second... I've always left EIST enabled on all my systems and never noticed any hits in general performance.
