I just put in a a Pentium 4 ht processor all
went ok .but the computer tern off at boot up several times so I have a look in the case and refit the fan and the cabals .boot up which then whent in to desktop I was wondering have I damaged the processor at all if it wear over heating and shutting dawn on boot up ,

It's unlikely it's damaged! Intel cpu's are very well made.
You should try running "Orthos" (small tft's test) overnight to be sure.
