acquired a P4 chip, socket 478
reads like this:

3.33GHZ/1M/533
SL7X5 MALAY
L436A891

simple question: i couldn't use this in a LGA 775 mobo could i? yeah yeah i know 2 different sockets its a no brainer, but i know other pentium 4s fit into mobos that are compatible with C2D's... i'm right in thinking those motherboards that support both pentium and c2d's are ONLY for socket 775s?

noep socket 478 doesn't work on 775 boards. Plus it has pins, so it would work. With 775 chips the pins are on the mobo not the chip
