I am looking towards a Intel CPU for my gaming computer.
My budget is around 200-400 for a 775 socket CPU.
That comes with heatsink, and fan.
I am looking around for parts now at newegg.com and tigerdirect.com
Not sure what is the best deal for what I am looking for.
Can anyone help me?

But if you were wanting to bring your overall price down below $300 (inc aftermarket cooler) then you could get the E6750 instead.

Probably true, but the extra heat from the quad cores is a PITA, and can limit the overclock. I know you suggested some basic watercooling kits to deal with that, but top end air coolers are probably going to work better with the massive heat output than basic water kits.

@fatefirst: If you do decide to go Quad Core, you will need some seriously beefy cooling. The u120x will probably be your best bet, but it is a huge cooler, so be warned

If it were my choice, I would go with the E6850. At least thats part of my next build. The last worry I need is overheating.
