Just how far have people taken the E6320 up to? Stock is 1.86 I was wondering just how far up it can go in general?

Depends on your cooling and how high fsb your mobo can take. The cpu has a low ratio so you need high fsb. It should be ok till 2.7 with stock aircooling (you will have to test) but over that you will need something better.I think 3.2 ~3.4 is something you can expect with a good mobo and cooling. I think the cpu is capable of near 100% overclock, but that would need good hardware.

I've seen them hit 3GHz with ease and if you really want to push it you can hit 3.4-3.5Ghz with stability. You'll need aftermarket cooling to reach these speeds though.

Thanks I don't want to spend days trying to find the ideal clock but I don't want to melt it down on the first shot either.

always just try bumping up the FSB and voltage as needed... try from 266 to 333 and if that works try for 400. Remember to watch the memory divider and increase the vCore and other voltages as needed (northbridge and FSB)

my e6300 went to 3.45GHz with a $25 aircooler (but I guess the case is open w cold canadian winter air pouring into it/many case fans...)
