Please help me out. Iam about to buy a new PC . Please tell me which Processor to go for.

Core 2 Duo is the latest from Intel... The Intel E7xxx and E8xxx are the new 45nm series. I actually just posted a review of the upcoming $133 Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 today and you can read it here - http://www.legitreviews.com/article/690/1/

This processor isn't our for another month, but it looks great.

It really depends on your current needs and intended usage.

Regardless of either, I would stick with Intel. If you do a lot of multi-threaded apps, then choose a quad core. If you do mostly gaming, save a few bucks and stick with a dual core. The new 45nm chips look real nice and overclock like a dream.
