Nice overclock on your 945. Now try that with your E8400 and see if you can get 5Ghz.

D-Ice Pot is a cooler that you made yourself right? And it uses liquid nitrogen/acetone according to your post?

Pushed E8400 to 4,8 GHz with water. It doesn't need extrem cooling to push 5 GHz, believe me... It's a FSB matter...

Yes i did it myself at CNC but u couldn't use LN2 with my pot, it's not enough strong and isolation would be a big problem. And it will also be so expensive and dangerous (fatal) at home...

I use it with Dry Ice and Acetone mix, about -55 degrees (inside of pot)...

Oh yes, i will try Q6600 (pushed to 4,1 GHz with water), E8400 (pushed to 4,8 GHz with water) and Pentium D 930 (pushed to 5,1 Ghz with water) under D Ice conditions soon...

im getting a kid i know fresh out of technical school to braze some copper for me so i can try that. :partyman: is it as hard as it seems to insulate the mobo from condensation, casue thats the main thing holding me back right not, 680i's dont come cheap. pentium 4s do though, and thats what i want my victim to be :snakeman:

If you are looking for a Pentium D to over clock get your hands on a 805 form Memory i got my old one to 3.6Ghz on air stable with safe temps, i didn't really experiment to get it any higher, but i think on the stock voltage when i got anywhere near 3.8Ghz it would freeze up so maybe you could do that core next
